Born on November 2, 1965, in New Delhi, SRK spent his early years in Mangalore, where his grandfather worked as the chief engineer of the port in the 1960s. From these humble beginnings, Shah Rukh Khan went on to become one of the biggest stars in Indian cinema. Fondly called the “Baadshah of Bollywood” and “King Khan,” he has acted in over 100 films, winning 14 Filmfare Awards and earning global recognition, including the Padma Shri from India and the Legion of Honour from France. His films have shaped Bollywoodâs identity, touching on themes of love, family, and the Indian diaspora.
SRKâs family history is just as fascinating. His father, Meer Taj Mohammed Khan, was an independence activist from Peshawar, while his mother, Lateef Fatima, was a magistrate. Despite facing hardships, their values and resilience shaped the man he became.
